Comment: I loved this one in the series because i have loved ian since he was a kid! LOL This story is amazing because he finally gets the girl and he turns into an amazing man!! He looks rugged but, underneath he is sweet and in love. I recommend this series to everyone who is ready to fall in love with the blooming relationship of Ian and Tony and have a bunch of laughs along the way.

I've loved this series from the first book and ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS A VAMPIRE doesn't disappoint. I loved how Ian and Toni met and the chemistry between the two was almost immediate. I loved how Toni was jealous when Ian was set up for the impromptu speed-dating session at the Horny Devils bar. It was great seeing guest appearances of characters from past books, including Shanna. If you're a fan of fun paranormal romance, ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS A VAMPIRE is the perfect read for you.

Comment: The fifth volume in the "Love At Stake" series finds a newly aged Ian McPhie looking for for a vampire of his own to love. He has put a personal ad online and the vampire women are flocking to him. But even though Ian has always wanted to hook up with a vampire woman, he finds himself strongly attracted to mortal and new security guard Toni. Toni has secrets. Her best friend was recently attacked by vampires and is in a mental hospital. When Toni went in search of the bad vampires, she gets attacked as well. Saved by one of the good vamps, Toni finds herself being won over by this group of vampires who only drink synthetic blood.
Can she save her friend from the hospital and still persue a relationship with Ian?
This is probably the best in the "Love at Stake" series, after the first one. "How to Marry A Millionaire Vampire" is still the best vampire romance I have read to date. The volumes between the first and the fourth made me leery of the series because they seemed to follow the romantic formula too much. But I find that Sparks is adding new characters, adding new paranormals, and making a twisted enemy in the Malcontents or 'bad vampires'. I love urban fantasy and dark paranormal stories. I find no reason why a romance can't add some of the qualities you find in the 'darker' genres to mix it up a little, and still stay a romance story. The bits of humor here still work nicely. The biggest fault that Ms. Spark's stories have is that her character's have these great, different personalities but once she make them the "lead" character, they tend to seem just like all the other previous "Lead" characters. They lose some of what made them unique in the previous books. If she could overcome this one complaint, I think this would make it an even better series.

Kerrelyn Sparks never fails to entertain with her vampires! ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS is the fifth installment in her hilarious Love at Stake series. It can easily be read as a stand alone but the plethora of characters and their various histories will be better enjoyed if one has read the preceding novels.
Ian is a character that fans of the series will be cheering for. His quest to age, since he was turned at the startling young age of fifteen and thus has lived throughout the centuries in the body of a teenager, is documented in THE UNDEAD NEXT DOOR. Ian is endearing in that he's determined to find his one true love, a woman to love in his eternal life (er, death). The results of his attempts to find this woman are hysterical!
Toni isn't looking for a mate and she certainly doesn't want a vampire! She demonstrates true loyalty to her best friend, an admirable trait to say the least. Toni is a survivor and just the sort of heroine you want to see have a happily-ever-after. The romance between Ian and Toni is explosive in its intensity, perhaps because both recognize a kindred soul.
ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS A VAMPIRE is yet another superb book from Kerrelyn Sparks. Once again, Ms. Sparks combines the right combination of humor, action, and romance to produce a hit. Oh but please, please, tell me we'll be seeing more of Carlos! Easily recommended!
