In this explosive new book, the legendary Jim Marrs, author of the underground bestseller Rule by Secrecy, reveals the frighteningly real possibility that today the United States is becoming the Fourth Reich, the continuation of an ideology thought to have been vanquished more than a half century ago. This concept may seem absurd to those who cannot see past the rose-colored spin, hype, and disinformation poured out daily by the corporate mass media—most of which is owned by the very same families and corporations who supported the Nazis before World War II. But as Marrs precisely explains, National Socialism never died, but rather its insidious philosophy is alive and active in modern America.

Customer Rating: Summary: THE RISE OF THE FOURTH REICH Comment: If you're looking for entertainment and slap stick comedy, this is your book. The author did a lot of research, particularly on the real Nazis of WWII, and over all, the book is well written. It is these factors that compelled me to give it two stars rather than one. Unfortunately, like nearly all conspiracy theorists, the little tidbits of truth he throws into the mix are blown away by his grandiose, and glaring, distortions of the truth, quoting others out of context, and flat out lies. Every conspiracy theory you've ever heard of, and many you haven't, all get tossed into the mix, from the assassination of JFK, to 9/11, to the space race, to our economic booms, and our busts, they're all here, and they're all a part of the sinister plots hatched by the "globalists" who are really Nazis in drag. And, of course, the "globalists" include not only the old Nazis in drag (even though they are all dead now), but also the Jews, Neo-Nazis, Neo-Cons, Democrats, Republicans, American Big Business, the Media, and of course the Masonic lodges, and the list goes on and on and on. This penchant on the part of the author to grasp at straws and go to any length of abuse of the truth to "prove" his agenda leads him to make glaring 180-degree contradictions, as conspiracy theorists inevitably do. For example, it was these Nazis-in-drag-come-globalists who got JFK elected, no wait! They assassinated JFK so that Johnson could be President. No, wait! They conspired against the democrats so they could put the republican Nixon in power. No, wait! They forced Nixon out of power so they could have Ford. No, wait! They put Carter in power in place of Ford. No, wait! They replaced Carter with Reagan. No, wait! They tried to kill Reagan because he was too independent. No, wait! They conspired to keep him alive, but just weak enough so that Bush senior and General Haig could run the show. No, wait, they conspired to replace Bush with Clinton. And, so on and so forth. By this time I'm rolling on the floor, but the comedy doesn't stop there. For example, on page 323 he says that the "fascist globalists" created "both communism and National socialism using the wealth brought from Europe by the Nazi ratlines." The Nazi ratlines, as the author himself explained in earlier passages, were set up at the end of WWII to funnel Nazi big wigs to safety in other parts of the world, mostly South America. That part may well be true, but how can something that was created in 1945-7 "create" something (Communism) that took root in the 1800s? or even Nazism itself
that started in the 1920s? Other rich one-liners the author serves up for our laughing pleasure include such gems as "Bill Moyers" as a "centrist," and the mainstream media being pro Bush jr. It is tidbits like these and the author's inability to recognize when he is contradicting himself that completely undermine his entire thesis and prevents any intelligent person from taking him seriously, but then, I doubt if he ever intended for anyone to take him seriously.
Customer Rating: Summary: The best book I've read in 10 years, maybe ever!! Comment: I have just finished the third chapter (90 pages of approx. 400 total). At this point I am flabergasted with the amount I've learned of the Third Reich. I thought I had a fairly good grasp of how the war ended. I was wrong. Jim Marrs has done his research. I am not one to give glowing accolades to authors without just cause and certainly without having finished the book. In this case, I couldn't wait to say thanks for the valuable and truely shocking info. I like the fact that he presents the case, supports the case, then cautions the reader to the proper degree, based on known background facts, of the conclusions to be drawn. It is an easy read even though the subjects he explores are indeed heavy and complicated at times. Obviously he is that type of invaluable author who can relate deep subjects in an understandable manner to those of us who are not scientists or historians. I am looking forward to devouring the rest of the book with great gusto! This book will "knock your socks off" with the info detailed inside it. Highly recommended...
Customer Rating: Summary: Up from the Ashes Comment: Nazism didn't die at the end of WW II. In fact many escaped allied forces and set up shop in South America and elsewhere. Wealthy and idealistic, Nazis regrouped and often allied themselves with their enemies.
Jim Marrs documents the whole business in "The Rise of the Fourth Reich".
Read about Nazi scientist brought to the US through Project Paperclip and how NASA and the space race were initiated. The book covers eugenics, mind control, propaganda, education, religion and the Nazi who's who in regard to the Kennedy assasination.
Henry Ford, John D. Rockefeller and Prescott Bush were just a few businessmen who financed the Nazis. The point is that Nazi ideology was accepted and supported before, during and after the war.
The fascist notions of National Socialism or corporatism are alive and well in the USA which has become the greatest empire of all time.
Our current policies of illegal invasions, war and occupation, torture, spying on our own citizens and the loss of civil liberties through the Patriot Act are exactly the same measures the Nazis took.
Jim Marrs is the master of hidden history and conspiracy.
Customer Rating: Summary: Very insightfull information, and a lot of it. Comment: This book incredibly lays out events preceding and following WWII and gives in depth explanations for the causes and affects of our current government. It can be hard to follow sometimes due to all the names mentioned and their inter-relations. I think I will have to read it twice to go back and pick up all the information I missed the first time around.
Customer Rating: Summary: The Rise of the Fourth Reich Comment: Enlightening, eye opening and important for all Americans to read. Everyone needs to open their minds and atleast be willing to listen to a version of the truth you will not hear on the mind-controlling mass media. Then make up your own mind!
