Editorial Reviews:

Stone Creek veterinarian Olivia O'Ballivan communicates easily with animals, but men are another story. Especially rugged architect-turned-rancher Tanner Quinn. Olivia's uncanny bond with his daughter Sophie's pony, Butterpie, has him questioning her sanity, while she wonders if he's not just a drugstore cowboy. Then twelve-year-old Sophie conspires with Olivia to get Tanner into the spirit of Christmas with all the trimmings, including a tree-lighting ceremony and a man named Kris Kringle in a sleigh driven by seven reindeer…and a donkey. But will a holiday miracle transform the globe-trotting Tanner into a rancher—and family man—for all seasons?

Summary: Just a slight let down
Comment: It wasn't bad and for anybody other than Linda Lael Miller it would have been a pretty good book. We tend to expect more from her I guess. It was a slow starter and didn't pull me in the way she usually does. eg. I still want to know about every generation of the McKettricks and every and anyone in Springwater. Olivia is the least interesting character in Stone Creek. It's not Bad , it's just not up to her usual standards. I will certainly continue to preorder anything she writes.

Summary: Good Christmas Read
Comment: As always, Linda Lael Miller delivers. This was a delightful Christmas read. Loved the characters. Book packed with multiple, easy-to-follow story lines. Especially enjoyed the vet being able to talk to the animals. Added another dimension to this enjoyable read.

Summary: An Enjoyable Read
Comment: This is a short, easy to read book. It is an enjoyable romance and as such follows a very typical pattern. The Big Strong Man, the Woman. Man and woman meet and help each other heal from difficult times in their past.

I thought this book was touching and very appropriate for Christmas. I enjoyed reading it.

The only negative was that at times it delved a little bit too much into the special connection she had with the animals and made it all seem a bit too 'spacy'.

Worth the Money. Enjoy.

Summary: A Stone Creek Christmas
Comment: Recently I became a fan of Linda Lael Millers writings and look forward to her next books. The Stone Creek Christmas is a heartwarming story that I think the whole family could benefit by reading. It is full of sharing, caring, and sentiment. I think you will enjou it.

Summary: I've read almost all of her books but this one...
Comment: Egahh, it's bad. It's fluffy and so cliche that it's actually painful to read. PAINFUL. I've had it for 2 + weeks now and I'm only on page 115 out of 217, dear Lord there is 100 more to read. Oh the horror!

I've only gotten this far out of sheer will to finish, it's become a challenge at this point, it's really that bad. I'm shocked. While I don't expect that much depth to a romance story, this is just pathetic.

Sentences are short and blunt at times. Obvious. If you didn't know better, you would think that this was written by an early/middle teenager, not a author that has a LOT of books to her name.

Fluffy and riddled with nonsense. Characters that are not fleshed out and you develop no real attachment to them.

I think my eyes hurt from rolling them so much.
