Now Available in a box set-the first four Dark Tower Books -- with new material from the author!
The Gunslinger The Drawing of the Three The Waste Lands Wizard and Glass
In this brilliant series, Stephen King introduced readers to one of his most enigmatic heroes, Roland of Gilead, The Last Gunslinger. Roland's quest for the Dark Tower took readers on a wildly epic ride-through parallel worlds and across time. A classic tale of colossal scope-crossing over terrain from The Stand, The Eyes of the Dragon, Insomnia, The Talisman, Black House, Hearts in Atlantis, Salem's Lot, and other familiar King haunts-the adventure took hold with the turn of each page...
In a major publishing event, the quest for the Dark Tower continues in Wolves of the Calla (Volume V), Song of Susannah (Volume VI), and The Dark Tower (Volume VII), coming from Scribner, beginning in November 2003.
Now readers can go back to where it all began with this box set of the first four Dark Tower titles, each featuring a new packaging and new introduction. Plus Book I, The Gunslinger, has been completely revised and expanded throughout.

Customer Rating: Summary: Consider yourselves lucky... Comment: I got hooked on this series at the inception and literally had to wait YEARS between volumes. Great imagination. A mix between a western hero, a knight of old, and a samurai/ronin. Roland is an inexorable hero, perfect yet imperfect, on his quest for his 'Tower'. Not a journey, but a trek, this epic will take you places that only Mr. King can reveal. So, what are you waiting for? Best get started! didda chick? dadda chum?
Customer Rating: Summary: An intriguing installment to Stephen King's works Comment: The best way to describe The Dark Tower Series would be by imagining placing Clint Eastwood in a world designed by Stephen King. Although this is not a typical Stephen King novel (it is very different from The Shining, Carrie, and even The Stand), the vivid characters and engaging plot make these novels some of Stephen King's best works. I highly recommend these books for all Stephen King fans.
Customer Rating: Summary: Good Reading Comment: Stephen King at his best. Wizard and Glass is my favorite of the series.
Customer Rating: Summary: A four book set for ANY Stephen King lover...complex, twisted stories as he's known for Comment: This was the set that really sold me on Stephen King. I started with Cujo, but The Dark Tower series was more than enough--even as a teen--to keep my interest; I couldn't put it down. I lost my color animated soft-back copy, but now I have these to keep me busy once again. The first two of the series are my "hands-down" favorites.
Customer Rating: Summary: One of the greatest series I've ever read Comment: The whole series is great, I was instantly caught in the first book "The Gunslinger". Once you start with that one, it's hard to put the next two books ("The Drawing of the Three" & "The Wastelands") down since they're so fast-paced. The story slows down quite a bit in the fourth book "Wizard and Glass" since it's about the main characters (Roland Dechain of Gilead) earlier days, right after he became a Gunslinger. There are 3 other books after Wizard and Glass (The Wolves of the Calla, The Song of Suzannah, and.. last but certainly not least, The Dark Tower) so you would have to read the whole story to get the full effect of it. I would recommend this series to anyone and everyone who loves to read!
