Although intended for young girls, I also learned from it. The book does a great job of explaining different kinds of riding and of some of the work involved in taking care of horses. Comment: I really enjoyed reading this book with all of the true stories like a girl who babysits minature horses, a girl who show jumps, a rodeo rider and much more storyies. But if you If you want to learn about how to take care of horses thhis is not the right book. I love the information in the back of the book and the trading cards though. It tells you a typical day at a horse farm and tells you about some grooming tools and the parts of tack. Over all I think this book rocks. and should get two hooves up!
