Summary: Lukewarm
Comment: I have read 'Moment' occasionally over many years, and this in the hope of enriching my knowledge of the Jewish world. There have been articles and features which I have found useful. But on the whole the Magazine does not seem to me to be in a class with 'Commentary' or even 'Midstream'. I would say my reaction to it has been by and large lukewarm. I also believe it could be much more forthright and positive in regard to Israel.

Summary: One of my favourite magazines
Comment: "Moment" is an excellent magazine. It discusses many various issues that concern the modern Jew; politics, culture and -- of course -- religion. Often the magazine will discuss controversial issues (with reader imput) so you can get the "scoop" on the latest debates. I especially appreciate that fact that "Moment" does not take a specific position on issues; the magazine is very good at providing the viewpoint from the perspectives of all types of Jews.
