Customer Rating: Summary: Lame Magazine Comment: Ok. First off I have received one magazine since my subscritpion in December 2007. It is now July 2008. The one magazine I received was lame. Seriously, if your planning on being a good designer of any sort in the industry then this college made magazine is not for you. Seriously this magazine is about as bad as the crap that they teach you in most art colleges about design. A waste of money. Want pro tips etc. go elsewhere because you wont find them here. Customer Rating: Summary: Unbelievable! Comment: I bought this magazine on a whim because it had an article about portfolios - and it was worth every penny of the $8 I spent on it! As a recent design graduate I wish I would have come across this magazine while I was still in school as it offers examples of student work that has been judged by the best in the business right now. It is also good for those who are trying to find a reputable design school. I have just bought a subscription for a family member of mine that is about to begin design school in the fall and I know it will be a great inspiration! CMYK offers great articles, unprecedented exposure if your work is selected for publication, and good reviews of other schools and agencies.
