Battery life is great if you don't use the Krypton bulb. I am on my second set of batteries. First set lasted 3-4 months with moderate use and the second set has been in since May and still going. Although I have used it less over the summer since it was tucked away in my tool bag for awhile. All in all a great product that works well. I highly recommend. Even battery pack is modular, so it is easy to remove when not in use.
