The editors tend to review product that is a step up from more mainstream, mass market mags like Sound and Vision but short of the more rareified (and mostly far more expensive) product in Stereophile and The Absolute Sound. In my experience, the law of diminishing returns applies to audio product as much as anything else. This is something The Sensible Sound seems to get. They also get that it's about the music, not solely a pursuit of hardware. If you're looking for mostly well grounded product reviews that cater to real world values, look no further.
