After more than 20 years of marriage, Wilson Lewis, son-in-law of Allie and Noah Calhoun (of The Notebook) is forced to admit that the romance has gone out of his marriage. Desperate to win back his wife Jane's heart, he must figure out how to make her fall in love with him.again. Despite the shining example of Allie and Noah's marriage, Wilson is himself a man unable to easily express his emotions. A successful tax attorney, he has provided well for his family, but now, with his daughter's upcoming wedding and an impending empty nest, he is forced to face the fact that he and Jane have grown apart and he wonders if she even loves him anymore. Wilson is sure of one thing-his love for his wife has only deepened and intensified over the years. Now, with the memories of his in-laws' magnificent fifty- year love affair as his guide, Wilson struggles to find his own way back into the heart of the woman he adores.

Customer Rating: Summary: Never gets boring Comment: Nicholas sparks is such a great writer! This book is so amazing and romantic! It shows that life has its bad times, but the bad times lead up to the good! Its a must read!
Customer Rating: Summary: Great typical Sparks novel Comment: The Wedding
After reading The Notebook I became an avid Nicholas Sparks fan. When I read there was a sequel I bought it with not much hope that it could be anything as good as The Notebook. I was pleasantly surprised and found it highly enjoyable.
Customer Rating: Summary: Before I buy! Comment: I want this book, but I am so hesitant to get it. I LOVED The Notebook. Loved it! But this sequel is not about Allie and Noah's life (from where it left off in The Notebook). I want to know about Allie and Noah's life from the time she chose him to them winding up in the senior home. I feel like Nicolas has left a huge gap; us knowing them from the start of their relationship and the end of it, all in the same movie! What happened in between? Their wedding, the births of their children, etc. They had such an intense relationship, I just want to know their lives together. This was too much a generation jump for me to be a sequel.
Customer Rating: Summary: Beautiful , Touching Story Comment: I thought when I read "The Notebook", I had read the most beautiful and touching story ever, but this one tops it! You will not be able to put it down, and by all means get plenty of tissues ready. A huge thank you to Nicholas Sparks for this wonderful story. This is a book I will read over and over again.
Customer Rating: Summary: Good! Comment: If you enjoyed this book, you will also like: Tuesdays with Morrie: An Old Man, a Young Man, and Life's Greatest Lesson.
It has a similar "lesson" to it.
